This summer, Belfast City is getting its very own dedicated juice and smoothie bar right in the heart of the city centre. The Juice Jar, opening summer 2019, is a Juice Bar/Coffee House hybrid selling fresh healthy juices, flat whites, shakes and sandwiches, all in the high energy, tech ready, trendy surroundings of a newly renovated bar at 8-10 Wellington Place.
More than the average coffee shop or grab and go smoothie stall, the Juice Jar experience is akin to an Ibiza chill style cocktail bar, specialising in local, healthy, nutritious and extremely tasty products. With over 30 different juices, smoothies and shakes to choose from, customers will be well on their way to 5 a day. Examples from the menu include The Red Tonic, with antioxidants to boost your immune system, and the Lean Green, with an abundance of fibre that will kick start your digestive system. Also on the menu is a full range of hot drinks, serving some top grade coffee from local roasters Root and Branch as well as a range of protein rich sandwiches.
The opening of the bar comes at a time when people are becoming more and more health conscious. Talking about his idea for the new bar, the owner of the Juice Jar, Sam Shephard said,
‘Healthy eating is on the rise and millennials are definitely leading the charge on this. Cities like London, Edinburgh and Dublin are offering residents and visitors a wealth of healthy choices in some really cool locations. After spending some time working in London and moving home to settle in Belfast, I wanted to bring that same experience to people in here. I wanted to give people a menu that focused on packing in the vitamins, catered to coffee lovers but also captured the urban, trendy, vibe of some of the bars in London. That is why we have designed a really chilled out environment that people can come to, plug in their laptop and relax with a juice, shake or coffee. People can expect friendly banter and great customer service from our staff and some good beats from our speakers. We are really excited about the opening this Summer and bringing the Juice Jar experience to Belfast.’
Renovation work is ongoing and the bar is scheduled to open Summer 2019. There are jobs available so please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
